Friday July 27th - Bachaco! & The Revivalists!!!! From Naw'LEans!

Bachaco
An Explosive High Energy International Groove is the language Bachaco speaks. Since its formation in 2007 the band has managed to successfully blend the Caribbean’s most globally loved Reggae, Dancehall and Ska with South America's own Caribbean legacy rhythm of Cumbia. The marriage of these elements is only possible thanks to the band's own diverse range of nationalities: Venezuelan, Jamaican-American, Colombian-Irish and Puerto Rican. Such a melting-pot allows Bachaco's creativity to flow naturally. Songs are written in English and Spanish interchangeably and the sounds take you on a trip deep through your own paradise, right from the dance floor.

The Revivalists
Since forming in 2007, The Revivalists have earned their standing among the best original bands in New Orleans. The group's blend of soulful, syncopated rock and earnest songwriting comes to life through a meticulously crafted ever-evolving live performance. In 2011 they were named Best Emerging Artist at Gambit Magazine's Big Easy Awards. The band is proud to be a part of New Orleans' growing independent, original music scene.

Friday Night June 22nd - Hot 8 Brass Band!!!! AND Dangerflow!!!!

OPEN YOUR WORLD HEINEKEN CONCERT SERIES
Saturday, June 22: Hot 8 Brass Band + Dangerflow!

Complimentary Heineken in the Heineken Courtyard from 11 p.m. to 12 a.m.

The Hot 8 Brass Band, like all of New Orleans, has had its share of tragedy in the aftermath of Katrina. In addition to displacement caused by the storm and subsequent violence and uncertainty contained therein, drummer Dinerral Shavers was shot and killed in late 2006 while driving with his wife and child in New Orleans. In addition, two other members of the band have lost their lives due to violence on the city streets. In response to these tragic setbacks, The Hot 8 Brass Band has recommitted itself to bringing people together through their unique brand of music to celebrate, to heal and to learn. This passion for music and social outreach led to an integral role contributing to the success of the Finding Our Folk Tour.

Take one part hip-hop, one part soul, add a dash of Afro-Cuban drum rhythms, shake well and enjoy. These carefully-blended ingredients make up the sound of South Florida's most exciting & refreshing hip-hop band, Dangerflow.

Dangerflow brings its hip-hop beat to the crowd with a cocktail of live drums, funky guitars, and jazzy horns. Led by both a conscious wordsmith and soulful vocalist, the danceable sound doesn't come without substance. With influences that range from Gym Class Heroes to a Miami version of The Roots, the group makes sure to include an inspiring message in nearly every song but also incorporate humor and clever wordplay. Dangerflow has been perfecting its signature sound since 2007 and released it's debut album, "Win, Lose Or Die" in Fall 2011.
