Admission: $2 Since 2007, The Next Big Thing Awards Concert has been a validation of the hard work and incomparable artistry of some of the sunshine state's brightest new talent, and celebrates the achievements and community service of some of the entertainment trailblazers that continue to pave the way for Florida artist to grow. The 2013 recipients range in scope from the worlds of rock, pop, r&b, neo soul, hip hop, latin, ska, jazz, funk spoken word and electronica. This year's festivities will take place at THE STAGE, one of the premier live music venues for the indie music scene located in Miami's world famous design district. The venue is has been host to many legendary music greats such as hip hop legend RAKIM, Latin Grammy nominees SPAM ALLSTARS, and late blues great BIG POPPA E. Standing on the stage in the footsteps of those greats will be a "who's who" of Florida's hottest up and coming talent currently blowing up the music scene and the internet. Performing live on stage will be funk/ska/jazz fusion band: BEHIND THE HOUSES, dark metal heros: QUEEN DEMENTIA, soul/r&b singer: A'DORE, latin/caribbean funk band: 1000 FUEGOS, neo soul/pop diva: WHITNEY WHITE, hip hop collective: D.N.A. FAM, experimental music art house sensation: MERCURY WOLFF, conscious hip hop artist: CUSH ARRUE & JEAN VERITE, trapp music hype hero: BOBBY LIMITS & HEATHEN NATION, spoken word artist: FILTHY MC NASTY, NUBIAN and spoken word legends: BLONDIE C. BITCH and ALONSO THE POET and electronica performances by beat masters: COLE "CULPRIT" RIPPE, CLVB DRVGS and E-NOC. In addition to the performances, awards will be handed out in a multitude of music, arts and community service related categories.
